The LiftWEC Kick-Off Meeting was held in Queen’s University Belfast, Northern Ireland on 11th December 2019. Representatives from the 10 European partners met to discuss the project direction and formally launch the LiftWEC Project. The kick off meeting was attended by 21 representatives of the 10 European research partners and Francesca Harris of the Innovation & Network Executive Agency on behalf of the European Commission.
At the kick-off meeting, a general project overview was provided by the project manager, Matt Folley, of Queen’s University Belfast. Presentations and discussions on the work packages followed, ensuring consortium agreement on project direction and expected outcomes. The meeting closed with a short tour of the Marine Research Laboratory at Queen’s University Belfast.
